Nurse Practitioners

Sharon Smith (f)

Our nurse practitioner works alongside our doctors. She is a qualified nurse practitioner and prescriber.

Mr Lee J Pedlar (m)

Our nurses continue to develop our nurse-led services. They take a lead role in managing chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease & warfarin therapy.

Minor illness and treatment room clinics (e.g. dressings, ear-syringing etc.) are run daily by the nurses.

Well Woman and Travel clinics are run weekly.

The Practice nurses also offer health education to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Phlebotomy Clinics are held everyday in New Tredegar and Tuesday in Deri. These clinics are held from 9.00am—12.00pm in both surgeries.
